The ISN Advantage
The ISN advantage is a complete range of programmable controllers designed specifically for HVACR applications - using the very latest in microprocessor design and software technology

In addition, the ISN Advantage is an unique concept by York International to develop and manufacture a modular range of controllers that are very easy to install and apply - not only for their own products, but also as a complete solution for any building management and automation system application.

This results in optimal control solutions and a York International HVACR control product range which can communicate together using a simple two-wire connection.

Compatible with all industry standard sensors and actuators, York controllers are cost effective for either a simple standalone system for a school, or the largest shopping centre, office or apartment building.

With this philosophy, contractors, consultants and end users can specify a fully integrated control system from a leading HVACR manufacturer who knows about controls and has the experience and knowledge to install and maintain the whole system. Once installed, an ISN Advantage control system provides all the essential ongoing monitoring of energy and optimised performance, which can be accessed either locally or remotely.

After sales service can be tailored to suit your needs. We offer maintenance contracts as well as modifications to suit building changes.

Pre-defined Control

All ISN Advantage controllers adopt the same fully configurable software structure using the unique York FEATURE-SECTION-PAGE concept. There are over 50 features - which are pre-cofigured monitoring, management and control functions all designed specifically for HVACR applications.

Each Feature contains a number of control blocks called Sections. The Feature mix is determined by the ISN controller type, and the section mix is determined by the function of each Feature and the controller type.

Each Section contains Pages in easy to understand English language. These either display dynamic data or, by the use of fixed or fully configurable data fields, determine how the Section operates.

By the use of a simple three-digit address, data can be manipulated between Sections of most Features. The three-digit address represents the Feature-Section number of any of the Input/Output Features used.

Software Engineering Tool

With comprehensive Help topics, communications Wizards and an engineering library, York's Icon Engineering tool (IcE™) enables certified ISN Advantage installers to quickly and easily engineer ISN controllers to meet your control needs.

IcE also provides the all important end user documentation.

Network Capability

ISN can easily meet your control needs - now and in the future. With the virtually unlimited capacity of over 8,000 controllers on 92 sub-networks over a distance of 10.8 km, ISN can grow to match your requirements.

An added benefit is the flexibility of the ISN network. To form a sub-network off the main network, a Universal RS485 Local Intelligent Network Controller (LINC) is simply plugged into the nearest ISN controller.

Central equipment such as modems, printers and PC's can also be conveniently located by extending the network to an Advantage Guardian Modem or Universal RS232 LINC.

Remote Access and Control

ISN Advantage small and main plant controllers all have RS232 communications built in - which means you can simply plug in a GSM or landline modem to communicate with a single controller. A network of ISN controllers an share a common GSM or landline modem by using a Universal RS232 LINC.

Facility Manager

The ISN Advantage Facility Manager™ software is a powerful Windows™ based interface which allows users to control and monitor their ISN enviroment.
